Getting to Know Me Before You Decide

If you're reading this page, you're probably trying to figure out whether I'm someone you could actually talk to. It’s a great question, and I want to try to answer it honestly.

I became a therapist because I know what it feels like to navigate hard things without enough support. There were seasons of my life defined by loss and transition — relationships that ended, homes I had to leave, a version of myself I had to rebuild more than once. What I learned in those seasons wasn't just resilience. It was how much it matters to have someone witness your experience without trying to fix it or rush it — someone who can walk alongside you while you find your footing.

That's what I want to offer.

How I Work

I'm a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in Washington state. I completed my Master of Education in Counseling at the University of Louisville, with a concentration in clinical mental health counseling, graduating in 2023. My early clinical training took place in a community mental health setting and a university counseling center, where I worked with a wide range of presenting concerns and built a foundation in both individual and group work. I have been practicing in Washington since January 2024, working with adults across a range of presenting concerns and continuing to deepen my clinical skills with intention.

My approach draws primarily on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) — two frameworks I find genuinely useful for the kind of work I love most: helping people understand their own patterns, reconnect with their values, and start making changes that actually mean something to them. I pay close attention to the connection between what's happening in the mind and what the body is carrying, and I weave mindfulness into the work in ways that feel accessible rather than forced.

What I try to create in sessions is a space where you can do more than vent. I want you to feel genuinely heard, and I also want to gently hold you accountable — to your goals, your values, the version of yourself you're trying to grow into. I'll notice when what you're saying and what you're doing don't quite line up. I'll ask questions that go a little deeper. And I'll do all of it without judgment, because I don't think shame has ever helped anyone change meaningfully.

Outside the Office

I spend a lot of time outdoors — hiking, walking, kayaking. I'm an avid reader and a dedicated crocheter (usually in front of whatever I'm currently playing or watching). I love video games, trying new restaurants, and traveling to places that challenge my assumptions and expand my sense of the world. I'm also deeply proud of my Hispanic heritage, and increasingly committed to reconnecting with the parts of my identity and my family's history that I want to carry forward.

That's a fair bit of me. If any of it resonates — if something here made you feel even a little like this might be the right fit — I'd love to connect.
